The Passo Fedaia, with its view of the Marmolada glacier, the ‘Queen of the Dolomites’, is very popular in both winter and summer. There is a famous ski area on the southern slope of the Marmolada, which is only served by a gondola lift that is almost always fully utilised from the end of February until the first days of May. The panoramic views and snow conditions are incomparably beautiful. This is a true Eldorado for deep-snow freaks and ski tourers, with climbing skins for the ascent. In summer, on the other hand, this area becomes almost obligatory for tourers and fans of routes that follow in the footsteps of the world wars.
