Sport climbing and excursions, a holiday at the Sella Pass means sport and nature.
The Sella Pass connects the Valle di Fassa with the Val Gardena via the state road 242, which leads over 12 kilometres from Canazei to the pass. It lies on a grassy saddle that separates the Sassolungo group from the Sella group. As one of the most famous Dolomite passes, it is dominated by the magnificent Sella Towers and the Mesules barrier. The panorama of the Sassolungo group, 3181 metres high, is unforgettable.
The area is strategic for excursions and trips of all levels of difficulty. At the foot of the Sassolungo group, a naturalistic area known as the ‘city of stones’, a labyrinth of rock masses and a place that is particularly popular with sport climbing enthusiasts.
With its variety of accommodation options, from typical alpine mountain hotels to mountain huts, the Sella Pass is a popular holiday destination for all those who want to spend their holidays in the name of sport and nature.
