Lavarone

Its romantic landscapes have long been loved by great characters of history and culture, such as Sigmund Freud and the Emperor of Austria Franz Joseph, with his court and the still-evident charm of the Belle Époque.

Its heart is the Lake Lavarone, a natural alpine lake that offers, during the summer, two equipped beaches and many water sports and in the winter it becomes an icy skating rink. In 2017 it received the important Blue Flag European certification.

The name Lavarone - Lafraun, in the German-Cimbrian dialect - does not indicate a specific village but the territory in general. It is made up of several suburbs: the main ones Chiesa, Gionghi, Bertoldi, Cappella and the smallest Lanzino, Azzolini, Longhi, Magrè, Oseli, Gasperi, Albertini, Nicolussi, Sténgheli, Rocchetti, Masi di Sotto, Masetti.

The Lavarone Skiarea offers a unique skipass valid also on the Folgaria Skiarea and allow skiers to ski over 100 km of ski slopes. It will be a snowy holiday full of pleasant surprises!

The cult track is the Avéz del Prinzep.
