Zonă de schi Szelment

The SZELMENT ski resort is located on the border of the Jeleniewo and Szypliszki municipalities. The lifts were built in 2007-2008 with financial support from the Marshal's Office of the Podlaskie Voivodeship and EU subsidies. Within the framework of the centre, the first buildings of the valley and mountain stations were built, as well as five ski lifts on Mount Jesionowa. Over time, the facility was modernised.

Currently, the ski resort includes seven ski lifts and a conveyor belt, a natural ice rink, cross-country ski trails, a snow park, a ski rental shop, a large paintball field in summer, a bicycle rental shop and an 18-hole miniature golf course. In the interwar period, the mountain was used as a launch pad for gliders. In recent years, hang gliding camps have been organised here time and again.

The mountain rises above a beautiful post-glacial valley where Lake Szelment meanders. The lake is deep and the water is very clean. There are also many species of fish and water birds. Future plans include: a water ski lift with all the infrastructure, i.e. jetties, water equipment rental and a lakeside beach, as well as a marina for water equipment. The centre will be available to canoeing, sailing and surfing enthusiasts.
