Filzbach - Kerenzerberg

Welcome to Filzbach and the Kerenzerberg!

On one side the view over Lake Walen, across to Amden and the Churfirsten, on the other the rocky walls of the Neuenkamm, Fronalp- and Mürtschenstock - and in between, on the terrace of the Kerenzerberg, lies Filzbach.

At over 700 metres above sea level, Filzbach sits on the northern edge of Glarnerland and is an ideal starting point for hiking and biking tours, for climbing on rock faces or in the gym or for cosy moments in alpine taverns, as well as in the Nüenalp adventure cheese dairy. The excursion can easily be extended with a night in the straw, sleeping under the stars or in one of the hotels.

Guests from the seminar hotels in particular are encouraged to create new ideas in the DenkWerkstatt at the special DenkOrten. On the DenkWeg, on the other hand, you are challenged with brainteasers and mindfulness impulses. The most leisurely option is the Kerenzerberg railway, which becomes the DenkBahn with its 20-minute ride.

From the Habergschwänd mountain station, the slightly lower Talalpsee lake forms the entrance to the UNSESCO Sardona World Heritage Site. Trained GEO guides introduce guests to the history of our planet. The action starts on the return journey on the scooters. As an alternative to bad weather, there are the climbing and bouldering halls and the new indoor swimming pool including wellness centre in the lintharena in Näfels.
