The charming atmosphere of Engen, with its landmark mountain Hohenhewen, captivates and amazes visitors.

In the 1970s, the historical old town, a protected heritage site, was lovingly and skillfully restored. Since then, it has enchanted many visitors with its Mediterranean flair, nestled among crooked houses, cobbled streets, and cozy squares. The unique old town ensemble has won several awards. Engen offers not only a medieval ambiance but has also created a platform for modern art and culture within this historic setting.

A prime example is the Engen City Museum + Gallery, which has earned an excellent reputation beyond the region.

A unique attraction in southern Germany is the Ice Age Park Petersfels, completed in May 2003, a natural educational park that illustrates the late Ice Age conditions around the significant prehistoric site "Petersfels."

The Engen Adventure Pool, with its 89-meter-long giant slide, lazy river, children's pool, and much more, warmly invites the entire family to spend a few hours cooling off.

The best way to explore the picturesque old town is through an evening night watchman tour, one of the three themed experience tours, or a classic city tour. After absorbing all the impressions of Engen, visitors can relax in the local restaurants and cafés, where they are treated to a cozy atmosphere and refined ambiance.

Another highlight are the premium hiking trails "Stettener Panoramaweg" and "Hewensteig," which reward hikers with breathtaking views of the Hegau region, Lake Constance, and the Alps as they ascend the Neuhewen and Hohenhewen mountains.
