Bönigen

Bönigen is characterised by its historic village centre. Narrow streets and 16th to 18th-century wooden houses embellished with carvings make this Bernese Oberland resort unique. The magnificent peaks are reflected in the deep blue waters of Lake Brienz – this is where the untamed mountain streams and rivers from the glaciers converge and find calm.
Besides hiking and mountain biking, there’s plenty of fun and recreation on and around the water. Iseltwald

The small fishing village of Iseltwald on its peninsula on Lake Brienz is a haven of tranquillity. With its landmark castle, “Schneckeninsel”(snail islet) and the picturesque bay at its heart, Iseltwald exudes the aura of a place where time stands still. The shoreline beckons with paths and hiking trails and a boat rental and the scheduled passenger service invite you to explore the lake. A lido, play area, picnic areas with barbecue pits and a village shop complete the resort’s facilities.
