Ascou

Welcome to the commune of Ascou, which has about 120 inhabitants!

The commune has a remarkable natural heritage: a Natura 2000 site (the "bassin du Rebenty") and five natural areas of ecological, faunistic and floristic interest.

The ski resort of Ascou-Pailhères, below the port of Pailhères (2001 m), the highest road pass in the Ariège, is transformed in summer and is regularly used by the Tour de France to reach the upper Aude valley.
