The Markstein resort has a special beginners' area for beginner skiers:
3 green runs and 1 blue run (special pass for the beginners' area).
The ESF also has a children's garden, which is open to children aged 4 and over.
The resort also has a special relationship with the sporting world, having hosted the Alpine Skiing World Cup in 1983 and 1987. It also has a slalom stadium, open to all, which was completely restructured in 2006 and hosts International Ski Federation races every year.
For even more thrills, the resort also has a snowpark and a boardercross.
A network of snow cannons ensures quality snow cover throughout the season.
A snowkite site on the Steinlebach meadows is accessible from the resort on foot or by ski lift.
