*Skiing on the Gurten
The Gurten - Park im Grünen operates the smallest and closest ski area in Bern. Provided there is enough snow on the mountain, the children's ski lift on the Gurten is in operation. Bern's local mountain is ideal for trying out skiing for the first time.

December to February
Mon-Fri: 13.00 - 17.00
Sat & Sun: 11.00 a.m. - 5.00 p.m.

*Sledging
In just 17 minutes you can be on the toboggan run from Bern main station - the most spontaneous tobogganing excursion in the area. Sledge along the unlit toboggan run from the top station to the middle station of the Gurtenbahn. If you don't have a toboggan with you, you can hire a traditional wooden toboggan at the top station.
