Gäggersteg family and theme trail

It roars and laughs and grumbles and crashes when Türst and his goats romp through the forest at Gägger. Experience together with Türst how the wind destroyed the forest, how the trees grow, what roots look like from below and discover the animals in the forest.

The family trail is an easy circular walk that leads over the Gäggersteg, which is up to eight metres high. An experience with play, fun & learning. The accompanying story "Der wilde Türst - das stürmische Spiel am Gägger" leads you and your parents along eight stations through wild nature. Along the way, you collect eight runes that yield a solution word. If you know it, a reward awaits you. Good luck! There are many picnic areas along the trail, but no fireplaces. Barbecuing wild game is strictly forbidden in the forest reserve.

At eight experience and theme stations you can learn how four storms of the century have shaped the forests in the Gurnigel area. How the forest and nature have recovered from the damage and even profited from it. How the people from the Gantrisch region seized the opportunity and made the best of the destruction.
