Via Alta della Verzasca - Stage 3: Capanna Cornavosa-Capanna Efra

From Cornavosa you go towards Efra mountain hut, which is about 8 h 30 min walk away. With a difference in altitude of 1300 m, this is one of the longest and most difficult stages on the Via Alta della Verzasca. You will see some unrivalled views on the way, especially when going from the top of Rierna to the Val d’Ambra and from the top of Gagnone, from where you can admire the wild and steep mountains in the north of Verzasca and Lake Maggiore to the south.

This stage is rated T5 on the scale of difficulty for hiking tours.
