The small, tranquil hamlet to the south of Sölden
The small village of Zwieselstein is around 3 km south of Sölden at the foot of the Nederkogel on the junction between Vent and Obergurgl. The hiking area and cableways of Sölden are just a stone's throw away, while Obergurgl and Hochgurgl can also be reached in a matter of minutes. In Zwieselstein the visitor will find lovely traditional old buildings and wooden houses.

Hiking

Zwieselstein is the departure point for a wide variety of routes. From day hikes to mountain lodges or short paths to small alpine taverns where guests can enjoy traditional meals, in this small hamlet everyone can find just the right trail.

Mountain biking

Zwieselstein is perfect for dismounting from your bike, taking a deep breath and recharging your batteries. This small hamlet is perfect for a short break before continuing on your way. The new Kompass Ötz Valley Mountain Bike Guide provides an overview of the area's extensive offering. Mountain bikers can choose from 687 km of official routes and 28 trails. With its lovely wooden houses and traditional old Tyrolean buildings Zwieselstein has its own unique character. The church with its Altar of the Virgin dates from 1747 and is a religious treasure. Sport in the Ötz Valley:

The mountain region of the Ötz Valley Alps, with some 250 three-thousand-metre peaks, offers a wealth of opportunities for an active break. Countless trails, paths and climbs (a total of 1,300 km of signposted trails) lead from the valley past traditional mountain lodges up to glaciers and lofty peaks.
