3-day water route in the thermal spa communities

Day 1:

Arrival by train to Wiener Neustadt, then by bus to Eichbüchl. A few minutes walk to the restaurant GÖRG. This is where the first overnight stay is.

Day 2:

Breakfast and check-out at the restaurant GÖRG Katzelsdorf. Stay towards Schloss Eichbüchl and follow the Rosalia circular hiking route towards Katzelsdorf, which leads past the pointed ridge to the Marienquelle. After a short rest, continue towards Katzelsdorf center to the Leitha. Now stay on the path in the Leitha meadows and walk beside the water. The wonderful nature and landscape invite to a picnic or a long break. The end point on the first day is the Leitha spring in Haderswörth with its Leitha witch legend. The Mühlendorfer guesthouse is a few minutes walk from the source.

Day 3:

After breakfast, head towards Bad Erlach on a small hiking trail with a beautiful view of the Schneeberg. For a few minutes, walk along the road over the Schwarza. Then turn right towards Therme Linsberg Asia. In front of the thermal spa, there is a forest area that still leads to the Schwarza, where you can discover crystal-clear water. As a finale, a day entrance to the thermal spa awaits, which wonderfully concludes the water route.

Always take suitable maps with you. Wear sturdy shoes appropriate for the route, bring sun and rain protection as well as water and a snack. Take your mobile phone with you and save the mountain rescue emergency number: 140

Make sure when choosing the route that it matches your mountain experience and fitness level. Check the weather forecast in advance. Weather in the mountains can change surprisingly quickly. Therefore, always start out equipped accordingly (e.g., rain protection). Check whether the huts and snack stations you want to visit along the way are open. Inform someone about your chosen route and planned return before you set off.
