Valley and Legend Museum Lauterbrunnen

To honour the old - to teach the young:

It is a special honour for the Lauterbrunnen Valley Museum Association to present its extensive collection of historical objects in this time-honoured building. In 11 exhibition rooms we show around 700 objects from ancient times, with which we want to bring the history of the valley closer to our visitors. The heritage of our ancestors should inspire us to categorise our cultural values, to understand our identity and our people; also in the sense of how we can shape the future based on this knowledge. We see our museum as a place where people can and should explore new perspectives. The themes of the permanent exhibition are therefore continuously adapted, supplemented or redesigned.
