Die Klamm, ein in Mitteleuropa einzigartiges Naturdenkmal, wurde 1905 von den Tiefenbacher Nachbarn als Wanderweg erschlossen.

The “Breitachklamm” is a natural monument which is unique in Central Europe. It attracts over 100.000 visitors every year and is worth a visit under any weather conditions as it is more impressive the more water it contains.
The ravine can be reached via Straußenberg / Waldhaus or from the Walserschanz.

There are two entries:
One at the top: from the Walserschanz/ Kleinwalsertal
One at the bottom: from Tiefenbach near Oberstdorf

The trail takes about one hour and is very interesting under any weather conditions.

There are two options to return to the Kleinwalsertal:
1.Take the same path back through the flume over Oster- and Straußberg and back into the Kleinwalsertal.
2.Take the bus to Oberstdorf and continue on the bus into the Kleinwalsertal.
