Zadnikar gallery (Galerija Zadnikar)

Galerie der lokalen Malers Jakob Zadnikar.

A small exhibition site in the house of the painter Jakob Zadnikar contains paintings on canvas and wood, portraying scenes from the painter’s life and his living environment. A great part of his art work was dedicated to the scenes from The Holy Bible, he painted also a lot of church signs. His great share to preserve a part of the history can be also seen in a series of paintings of sawmills and mills once located in the valley, from which only a few are still preserved. Jakob Zadnikar was also well known in the circles of people who "played” the church bells as he developed special notes to write down melodies for this unique Slovenian art.
