can be experienced at the 3,000 m2 fenced adventure playground. In summer and winter we hired a kindergarten teacher to look after the children all day long - 5 days a week. Incidentally, the experience and adventure playground at the Hochberghaus is called “Mugglwald”. The "Mugglalm" is located directly in the house - a spacious playroom and is the favorite place for all children.

Arrival - We can be easily reached at any time during the summer season on our own 6 km long Farrenau mountain road - whether on foot, by bike, by car or coach. Classic car, convertible and motorcycle clubs have long since discovered the Hochberghaus for their trips. You will also come across our legendary DU stone, which announces the 1000 meters above sea level, from which you say DU and no longer SHE to each other. A beautiful custom on the mountain that makes it easier to make friends.

The kitchen at the Hochberghaus presents itself as "tasty" and fine. The traditional “pan dishes”, which have enjoyed undiminished popularity for many years, are downright famous. But not only the rustic home cooking tastes excellent up here at over 1200 meters above sea level, but also fresh, local fish, the light cuisine with its wonderful salads and herbs. And anyone who hasn't tried the hot brown bread with the irresistible toppings will be delighted. A special temptation are the refined desserts and the homemade strudel, which adapt to the current fruit variations depending on the season.

The pfandl dishes in the Hochberghaus can already be classified as legendary - hearty and rustic, the various pfandl specialties are served in a real pan. If you like it a little bigger, you can order the giant pan for several people by prior arrangement.
Sun terrace
Summer, wonderfully fresh mountain air, a panorama to die for... and that on the terrace at the Hochberghaus. Add a glass of wine or beer – the evening is perfect. If the weather is right and you can experience a sunset over the Almtal, you are at least 1200 meters closer to heaven than those who stayed below - a pleasure!
