The landscape around Selva, one of three villages in the Val Gardena, is characterised by the jagged rock towers of the Dolomites. The summits of the Sella massif, the Sassolongo group and the Puez-Odle Nature Park all soar into the sky – and at their feet, at the entrance to the village, stands the Mountain Residence Saleghes. Its prominent wooden façade gives guests an idea of what lies within: a stylishly designed interior, with open spaces that invite the gaze to explore and the guest to feel at ease.

Living
Large picture windows illuminate a rectilinear design and a great sense of space, opening the eyes to the natural world both in front and behind. Hand-worked spruce, earth colours and all-natural materials embellish the holiday apartments at the Mountain Residence Saleghes, which can accommodate a total of 36 guests enveloped in a delightful feeling of wellbeing. Contemporary architecture creates a timeless warmth in the midst of the Dolomites of the Val Gardena.

Good Morning
For a great start in the morning, we deliver fresh bread and delicious sweets of the local bakery, tasty croissants and muffins to your apartment. Of course, accompanied with a good cup of coffee, if you wish. Moreover, we propose local fresh bio yogurt with cereals, homemade jams of Elisa Kostner, South Tirolian honey and genuine fresh alpine milk.

Wellness
Quartzite and wood set the tone in the Saleghes spa area: grey, ochre and – thanks to the large glass doors – bright. Three saunas and a quiet room occupy 120 m² of space in which to feel good. The Finnish sauna offers 90°C hot steam, while the bio-sauna smells of pine and roses. The aromatic steam bath provides both warmth and a soft play of colours to soothe the mind. Wake up your body as you step outside the door – and find total peace, just lying there, reading a book or letting your thoughts wander, indoors or outdoors.

Dolomites in Summer
Rugged cliffs, pale rock and gentle high plateaus marked by Alpine pastures are all characteristic of the Dolomites. This mountain range, south of the Limestone Alps, surrounds the Val Gardena village of Selva and makes it an ideal destination for all those looking to experience nature – whether in summer or in winter! During the day, explore the mountains around the Sella massif, savour traditional South Tyrolean mountain fare in one of the many Alpine huts and, in the evening, marvel at the famous Alpine glow as the setting sun turns the pale dolomite rock a bright red. The unique qualities of the Dolomites meant that they were added to the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites in 2009 – and the Mountain Residence Saleghes is located right in their midst.
Together with Valgardena Active, the Mountain Residence Saleghes offers its guests a full weekly programme, ranging from guided hikes and exciting MTB tours, through to Pilates and even language and woodcarving courses.
