Valle di Tures ed Aurina/Tauferer Ahrntal, where our aparthotel in South Tyrol is situated, is surrounded by the Zillertal Alps. The valley is framed by more than 80 three thousand metre peaks, believe it or not. Which is exactly why hiking in Val Pusteria/Pustertal, or more precisely in Valle di Tures ed Aurina/Tauferer Ahrntal, is so popular. Ambitious alpinists can find real challenges here and can take on demanding mountains. But leisurely hikers and families also love hiking in Val Pusteria/Pustertal. A whole variety of hiking paths wind through Val Pusteria/Pustertal offering all ages plenty of opportunities for hiking. In Valle Aurina/Ahrntal – Val Pusteria/Pustertal’s side valley – alone, there are 90 managed mountain huts, 50 of them offering drinks and the refuges even accommodation. However, hiking in Val Pusteria/Pustertal is not just restricted to Valle Aurina/Ahrntal. There are countless opportunities for hiking throughout the Plan de Corones/Kronplatz holiday region, for example in Alta Val Pusteria/Hochpustertal or in Val Badia/Gadertal where you experience the fascinating Dolomites. The trails there are well sign-posted and even hikers who are not local can easily find their way to the peak in Val Pusteria/Pustertal. The moment of arriving at the summit cross is the most beautiful element when hiking in Val Pusteria/Pustertal: Once you’ve perpetuated yourself in the guestbook at the peak, you can enjoy the stunning view. The vast meadows and fields, narrow valleys and surrounding mountains ... you simply have to have experienced hiking in Val Pusteria/Pustertal yourself!

CYCLING AND MOUNTAIN BIKING IN VAL PUSTERIA/PUSTERTAL
Bike lovers are in just the right place in the Plan de Corones/Kronplatz holiday region. Besides a unique hiking paradise, Val Pusteria/Pustertal is namely also a popular destination for biking. Over hill and dale, through rich green forests and high up – the region around the Aparthotel Panorama is superb for mountain biking. We’re not going to deny that riding up to the peak is somewhat tiring but it is definitely worth it! Once up the top you enjoy an indescribably beautiful view. Then you whizz back down to the valley with panache.

Anyone who does not need quite as much adrenaline and would rather be out and about on two wheels instead of hiking, can also find a cycle path in their holiday resort. From Gais, leisurely cyclists can cycle towards Valle Aurina/Ahrntal or Brunico/Bruneck and then go on from there. This kind of cycling trip is a great item to have on the programme for families with children.

However, you can experience much more besides cycling and hiking in Val Pusteria/Pustertal. For all adrenaline junkies we recommend a rafting tour on the Aurino/Ahr, the river that winds through Valle di Tures ed Aurina/Tauferer Ahrntal. Don’t worry, you’re not left on your own here! Another indescribable experience is a tandem flight. You glide high up in the air and see your holiday home from above. You have the opportunity of paragliding on Plan de Corones/Kronplatz, where you start your breathtaking flight on its peak.

All water lovers have the opportunity to pursue their hobby in the Brunico/Bruneck or Campo Tures/Sand in Taufers outdoor pools. In the holiday resort of Gais there is also a small swimming lake, colloquially called a “Baggalocke”. Usually it becomes one of the favourite places especially for young guests during their activity holiday in South Tyrol in summer.
