The bivouac, dedicated to the Friulan alpinist Damiana del Gobbo who fell on the Piccola di Lavaredo, is located in the heart of the charming and lonely Cadin di Dentro, at the top of a grassy hill, almost completely surrounded by high vertical rock-faces (the Creton di Culzei, Torre Sappada , Creton di Clap Grande, and the Campanili di Elbel). Just to the west, the view sweeps to the Terze and the distant Dolomites of the Val Comelico. To the north it is closed by the Col Lanar.
