Spend a holiday with plenty of fun, family and friends in the BICHL farmhouse.
An idea that will quickly prove its worth. From the moment the landlord greets you on your arrival, you will feel very a sense of wellbeing.
The old farmhouse has a very cosy and traditional feel, thanks to the attention to detail that has been made. The spacious kitchen with rustic wood burning stove and the pine-panelled living room will help you feel very at home. From the balcony, you get a great view of the valley in the direction of St. Johann or Wagrain.
Cats, a small dog, rabbits also a sheep and calves are all here waiting for the cuddles and games from little mountaineers.

WE

We owners lived in this building themselves until recently. In the meantime the family has moved to a new building very close by, and carries on as before looking after the old famhouse. They are readily available for guests with tips and information. We of the Bichlhof put great emphasis on child friendliness.

Our Farm-animals

Passionate farmers with a heart and mind.

The farm animals are a matter dear to our heart, and we want to share this experience with our guests.

There is plenty for animal lovers to see and do on our farm, which runs all year round.
On our farm there are cows, calves, miniature goats, lovable cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and a couple of sheep all the year round in the farmyard.
Our 8 cows are milked twice every day so you can watch milking and taste fresh milk!
Would you like to taste our good farm produce? Homemade butter, great jams, fresh apple juice and of course our own fabulous farm milk ... simply great!

In the summer months you are warmly invited to spend some relaxing hours on the sunbathing lawn. At the same time the kids can romp around at the playground featuring slide, swing, trampoline, sand pit, scooters, bobby-car, childrens tractor, balls and much more.

Here the children can just run around as they please.

The main gateway to ski amadé

In winter St. Johann-Alpendorf is your main gateway to the “Salzburg Sportsworld” and the “Ski amadé”, Austria’s biggest source of winter enjoyment. With just one ski pass you have access to over 270 modern lifts and gondolas and 760 well-groomed downhill kilometres. Snow is a guarantee right to the valley floor – mother nature and our state of the art snow-making ensure that as much terrain as possible stays covered.

Sports enthusiasts will find everything they need for the perfect winter get-away: fabulous downhill runs, traditional alpine huts, the best in luxury hotels each offering their own unique spa programme, the betterpark terrain park for teens and adventure seekers, cross-country skiing, tobogganing etc. Had enough of the snow for one day? Enjoy an afternoon shopping in Sankt Johann or a trip to Salzburg – the City of Mozart – just an hour away.

In the winter, you have the large ski areas in Wagrain and St. Johann, but also the local slopes in the Hahnbaum-Lifte area are great. Especially geared to families, with various special offers, and the 3.5 km long lit toboggan run. Parents really appreciate how easy it is to keep track of their children in this area.
The region is also ideal for touring skiers. The Hahnbaum ski touring route comes highly recommended.
