Offering an idyllic summer and winter holiday destination in unparalleled natural surroundings, the Gasthof Hochsteg is situated between the spectacular Tuxer Ravine and the Zemm Canyon. Our in-house restaurant is open daily from 5.30 to 10.00p.m. (apart from Mondays in summer), serving delicious international and regional cuisine. We also offer a wide range of schnapps and liqueurs, thirst quenching long drinks, imaginative cocktails and a varied selection of international fine wines in our lovely restaurant, or on one of the sundrenched terraces.

As we all know, if children are happy, the parents are too. With this in mind we have created a spacious children’s room, well equipped with toys and a table tennis table. We are constantly updating our selection of toys, so that even on rainy days the children are well catered for. We have also installed a projection screen in the dining hall where our younger guests can watch films.

Our comfortable guest rooms are equipped with shower/WC, flat screen TV, Safe and most have a balcony. Many rooms enjoy spectacular views over Mayrhofen and the surrounding mountains. All rooms were renovated in October 2010.

We offer rooms on a bed and breakfast, half board or full board basis.

Our spacious dining hall and guest lounge are both equipped with projection screens. These rooms are ideal for holding presentations, seminars or training courses and are equipped with the latest technology to make power point presentations or watch DVDs. As one would expect, our guests also have internet access at their disposal.

Take time out to enjoy a leisurely meal and a drop of the local schnapps in our traditional „Bauernstube" (Farmer‘s Dining Lounge)………

The Gasthof Hochsteg is not only a spectacularly situated hotel surrounded by breathtaking scenery and fantastic views over Mayrhofen, but also an ideal starting point for hiking trips, excursions and cycle tours. You can participate on exciting leisure activities as such as rafting, canyoning, hydro-speed, climbing, exploring gorges and abseiling (at the Hochsteg Bridge) as well as tandem paragliding, an action park and high rope course.

A free ski bus service picks up our winter guests from right outside the front door and transports them to the Finkenberg lift station in under 5 minutes. From there one can easily access the 232km of the perfectly prepared pistes which make up the SkiZillertal 3000 region.
