Driving fun with panoramic view

The Schloßbergbahn is actually a funicular railway that has been drawing visitors up the mountain with a 61% gradient since 1894.

The Schloßbergbahn, which has been redesigned since August 2004, impresses with its design: Both cars were equipped with glass roofs, which offer passengers a wonderful panoramic view of the old town of Graz.

The descent is a steep experience and especially recommended are the impressive steps of the Kriegssteig, carved into the rock during World War I, which lead to the picturesque Schlossbergplatz.
